For the bathroom
- Dissolve 1 to 2 cups of bath salts in warm running water.
- Soak in the tub for 15-20 minutes to allow the mineral-rich salts to take effect.
- Rinse with warm water and dry.
Other tips:
- Use a damp washcloth to gently massage the salts into your skin to enhance the exfoliating effect.
- For even more pampering, apply a moisturizer after bathing to lock in moisture.
- Include a Dead Sea salt bath in your weekly routine for optimal skin health and relaxation.
For a foot bath
- Dissolve half a cup of Dead Sea salt and soak for ten minutes. Dry your feet thoroughly and apply a foot cream.
Make a salt lotion:
- Dissolve 250 g of Dead Sea salt in 750 ml of water. This 1:3 ratio is the same as the Dead Sea salt, making it very effective.
Put this solution in a plastic bottle and store it in the bathroom.
You can store salt lotion for a long time. If it becomes cloudy over time, it's time to replace it.
In the shower:
During or after your shower, rub the saline lotion into your skin using a flannel and let it dry on your skin, or pat yourself dry. You can also rinse it off, but this will undo some of the effect.
Using Dead Sea salt has no harmful side effects. It's ideal for home use: it doesn't leave any residue in the bathtub or sink and has an unlimited shelf life.
