Function of the face mask
A face mask is like a second skin. When applied, the skin is sealed, retaining heat and moisture. As a result, the skin has better circulation, retains more oxygen, making skin cells more active and eliminating toxins more quickly.
Type of face masks
It's important to use a mask that suits your skin type. However, skin constantly changes with the seasons, life stages, and the conditions we experience. Therefore, most people don't always have the same skin type. Therefore, take a good look at your face and determine what your skin needs based on the following guide. Follow the multi-mask principle: if it's more effective, apply several masks at the same time:
Oily skin
For oily skin, it's best to opt for a mud mask . This mask aims to draw out dirt, excess sebum, and impurities from the pores, leaving the skin matte and more balanced.
Combination skin
For combination skin, it's best to opt for two different masks. Apply a clay mask to the T-zone (forehead-nose-skin) and apply a nourishing mask to the rest of your face and neck.
Normal skin
For normal skin, it's pretty simple; basically, anything goes. Alternate and see what works for you. Again, you can apply multiple masks at once.
Dry skin
For dry skin, it's best to choose a nourishing mask. You can think of a nourishing mask as a kind of day cream. It provides hydration to the skin and makes dry areas disappear.
Suggestions for use
For each mask the following applies:
- Before use, carefully cleanse your face with a mild cleanser.
- Pat your face dry with a towel and apply the mask(s) with a spatula, brush, or your fingers, whichever is most comfortable for you.
- Let it absorb, usually within 15-20 minutes, but read the directions for use to be sure.
- Remove the mask with warm water and dry your face.
- Afterwards, you can apply a toner and your facial treatment (serum, cream).
For optimal results, schedule a masking session once or twice a week . It's best, of course, to relax during the mask (in the bath, in bed, or on the couch), but this isn't always possible.
Our motto is: It's better to clean the house with a mask on than not at all, because the perfect timing is lacking. Your skin deserves it!
