Oily skin

Characteristics

Oily skin produces excessive sebum. This skin type is often genetic, but it can also be the result of internal factors (hormonal changes) and external factors (hot and humid climates, the use of harsh or inappropriate cleansing products for your skin type that disrupt its balance). This causes:

  • an overproduction of sebum, which causes shiny skin, especially in the T-zone
  • enlarged pores
  • impurities (blackheads, pimples, local irritations)
  • dull complexion

Care

Cleansing: Proper cleansing is very important for oily skin. It removes excess sebum and dirt from the skin, reducing the likelihood of pores becoming clogged. It's essential to use a cleanser that maintains the skin's natural lipid layer to avoid overstimulating the sebaceous glands. Both our facial cleansers and our gentle soaps are excellent for cleansing oily skin.

Serum: Starting at age 25, you can use a serum of your choice under your face cream. Let the serum sit for at least 1 minute before applying your face cream.

Day, night, and eye creams : facial creams for oily skin

Face Mask : 1-2 times a week, use a mud or clay face mask to give your skin an extra cleanse.

  • Cleanse your skin with a gentle facial cleanser.
  • Apply the mask following the instructions for use.
  • Massage the skin with toner.
  • Apply a facial cream for oily skin.

General advice:

  • Washing with Dead Sea salt : Many people suffer from magnesium deficiencies, which, among other things, also affect the skin. Washing with Dead Sea salt will provide your skin with minerals regularly and evenly, improving its condition and overall health.
  • Don't shower with water that is too hot, as hot water also stimulates the sebaceous glands.
  • Eat fresh and varied foods and make sure you get enough vitamins B2 and B5 (for example, through yeast, wheat oil, beans, and nuts).
  • Also, drink enough water to flush out waste products.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Get enough exercise and sleep.
